Safety and assumption of risk
Hockey and physical training carry an inherent risk of injury. Every drill on this site is provided for general information only, and you take part entirely at your own risk. Warm up properly, wear appropriate protective equipment, work within your current ability, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
Supervision of minors
Many drills here are intended for youth players. Anyone under the age of majority should only attempt them under the direct supervision of a qualified coach, trainer, or responsible adult who can judge whether a drill is appropriate for that player’s age, size, and skill level.
Not medical or professional advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for personalized coaching. Consult a physician before beginning any new training program — particularly if you are returning from injury, have a medical condition, or are unsure whether an activity is safe for you.
No warranty
We make no guarantee that any drill is suitable for a particular player, age group, or skill level, or that the content here is complete, current, or free of error. Coaches and players must apply their own judgement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HockeyResource.ca and its operators accept no liability for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising out of use of this site or from performing any drill described on it.
Equipment and affiliate links
Some equipment listed with a drill may link to an online retailer. Where those are affiliate links, we may earn a commission if you buy through them — at no additional cost to you. Commissions never influence which drills we publish or which equipment we list.
Privacy
There are no accounts on this site. We don’t ask you to register, we run no analytics or advertising, we set no tracking cookies of our own, and we don’t build any profile of you. We do not sell or share information about visitors. That said, some technical information is unavoidably processed when you visit any website, including this one — the sections below explain exactly what.
Server logs. This site is hosted by Vercel. As with essentially any hosted website, their servers automatically record standard technical details of each request — your IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, and the date and time. We don’t use these logs to identify or track individuals, and this data is handled under Vercel’s own privacy terms and retention periods.
Information stored in your browser.Anything you personalise — your practice plans, the header details you type onto a plan, your team name, and any team logo you upload for the printable sheets — is saved only in your own browser’s local storage. A logo you add is stored on your device, never uploaded to us. None of it reaches our servers, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Embedded videos (YouTube). Drill pages that include a video load the player directly from YouTube, using its privacy-enhanced mode. Because the player loads together with the page, YouTube and Google may receive your IP address, browser details, and which page you are viewing as soon as the page opens — even if you never press play.Privacy-enhanced mode means YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you actually play the video; if you do play it, Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply. Pages with no video make no connection to YouTube.
Email. If you email us, that message is delivered through our domain provider’s forwarding service (Namecheap) into a Gmail inbox, so the contents of your message are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies.
In Canada, personal information is governed by PIPEDA. We may update this page from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
